The voice of Shangaan embroiderers of Kaross is audible in every corner of the Modjadji House interior. Kaross being a job creation initiative that utilizes the tradition embroidery skill of the Shangaan culture to create hand- embroidered home-ware and art- is one of the bigger inspirations behind the Modjadji House interior.

The Shangaan People of Limpopo

Kaross became the signature of 900 Shangaan people in the Limpopo Province of South Africa in the past 16 years, and embroidery became a medium to re-invent a forgotten or neglected culture.

The Kaross bedspreads and cushion covers is used in the interior of Modjadji House and enhances the African feel and voice of the House.

Kaross is a direct link with the legend of the Modjadji Queen.
