The voice of Shangaan embroiderers of Kaross is audible in every corner of the Modjadji House interior. Kaross being a job creation initiative that utilizes the tradition embroidery skill of the Shangaan culture to create hand- embroidered home-ware and art- is one of the bigger inspirations behind the Modjadji House interior. Kaross became the signature of 900 Shangaan people in the Limpopo Province of South Africa in the past 16 years- and embroidery became a medium to re-invent a forgotten or neglected culture.
The Kaross bedspreads and cushion covers is used in the interior of Modjadji House and enhances the African feel and voice of the House. Kaross is a direct link with the legend of the Modjadji Queen.
